Vinyasa

 

 

The Sankrit translation of Vinyasa is simply: To place in a special way

Vinyasa classes cultivate balance and establish steadiness whilst you flow through a thoughtfully curated sequence linking breath and movement.

Practicing Vinyasa teaches you the foundations of yoga, you will learn the core Āsanas used throughout many yoga practices and gain confidence in your personal yoga journey.

The breath is an integral part of a Vinyasa practice allowing for the mind to go into a moving meditation. Pranayama breathing techniques are often also introduced into Vinyasa classes. Certain Pranayama are directly linked with the nervous systems which positively affect blood pressure, stress and promotes relaxation.

Vinyasa one on one classes allow you to develop you practice and connect with your inner most authentic self.

Yin

 

 

Meditative, restorative, quiet and nourishing yin classes allow you to practice the balance between effort and ease.

This seated mat based practice means that postures are held between 2-7 minutes allowing the body to focus on targeting our connective tissue - and deep fascia in the body as opposed to the muscles which are targeted in traditional yang yoga practices like Vinyasa.

A Yin practice increases circulation and increases mobility. Tapping into the parasympathetic nervous system (your rest and digest) yin allows the body to truly calm.

Workplace Yoga

 

 

Integrating Yoga into your workplace can be a transformative platform for your team to reconnect whilst reducing stress and improving overall wellness.

For the most part, busy people have overactive sympathetic nervous systems - more commonly know as the "fight or flight" state - yoga allows us to access our parasympathetic nervous system allowing the body to tap into the "rest and digest" state.
